About the PAC

OUR GOAL
Arizona National Organization for Women Political Action Committee (AZ NOW PAC) is determined to elect a majority of Arizona officials who are committed to the advancement of women’s rights in all levels of political office.

WOMEN’S VOTES WILL DECIDE THE FUTURE
The strength of our endorsement lies with the support and enthusiasm that our members bring to the campaigns of candidates endorsed by AZ NOW PAC. We value involvement and recommendations of Arizona NOW state and chapter leaders in the endorsement process.

WE ENDORSE ON A RIGOROUS CRITERIA
At the federal level, National Organization for Women’s PAC relies on recommendations from state and local NOW chapters that are familiar with a candidate’s record and positions. All NOW PACs base their endorsements on a broad feminist agenda. No other PAC expects its candidates to take such strong stands on such a wide range of issues. These issues include, but are not limited to:

  • Reproductive Rights and Justice
NOW fully supports safe and legal abortion, affordable and effective birth control and other contraception, and reproductive health education for all.
  • Economic Justice
NOW advocates for a wide range of economic justice issues, women’s freedom and success and intertwined with racial justice, reproductive freedom, and other systems of oppression.
  • Ending Violence Against Women
NOW recognizes violence against women as the broad and interconnected issue that it is, addressing oppressive structures and attitudes in our nation.
  • Racial Justice
A leader in civil rights since 1966, NOW continues to fight for equal opportunities for women of color in all areas including employment, education & health care.
  • LBGTQIA+ Rights (including marriage equality)
NOW is committed to fighting discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity in all areas.
  • Constitutional Equality
NOW is a proud supporter of the Equal Rights Amendment and prioritizes giving women explicit protections in the United States Constitution.

After the elections, Arizona NOW activists work with the officials our PAC helped elect to assist and encourage them in meeting their commitment to leadership in the fight for equality and justice for all women.
